Extreme sports have changed the definition of sports in the last 10 years worldwide. Now there is a new idea that has surfaced for a new competition within the Extreme event and it is because of a uniquely talented kid in Murrieta, California. You probably have heard of skateboards and bikes being used to do all sorts of tricks and competitions, but have you heard of tricks being done on kick scooters, also known as Razor scooters?
Sixteen year old Raymond Warner started out using his Razor scooter for tricks for the extreme sport concept back in 2000 when these type of scooters became the craze. He had been at the rink using bikes and regular skateboards since he was 5 years old and when he tried the new type of scooter, he decided he would integrate that into his routines and now such tricks have become popular across the nation. The tricks are a combination of BMX and skateboarding and include Superman Backflip Grab and the Tailwhip.
There is currrently one competition that takes place on the west coast for these type of riders and Raymond places well in it yearly. He is also hoping that this competition will pick up more publicity and be added to the world of Extreme sports as doing these type of tricks on a kick scooter is extremely (pun intended) different than riding a skateboard. It takes a different balance skill and is more challenging. Raymond is currently receiving offers for sponsorship and if he has his way you will be seeing him in the next large Extreme sports competition as they add Razor Kick scooters as a new kind of Extreme competition.
